That's right, it's time for another empties post!
I love sharing the products that I've used up with you every few months, and this time round I have quite a few summer goodies to talk to you about! Shall we dive in?
St. Tropez Self-Tan Face & Body Mists
Now I'll be honest, I'm not the most experienced fake-tanner. In fact, I have to get Dan to help me because I'm pretty rubbish at the application. So for me, any tanning products need to be SUPER easy to use, and as streak-free as possible.
I picked up the Purity face mist and body mist in a Latest in Beauty box, and after only ever using mousses I wanted to see if these would be any easier to use. I am CONVERTED. I've used these up and bought the full-size.
I tend to use the Purity body mist once a week or so, simply spritzing it on and following it up with a mitt to make sure it's evenly applied. The following morning I wake up and I'm glowing. I personally think that using a mist makes the product a lot easier to control and to ensure you're avoiding streaks. It doesn't transfer at all, and you get a really natural-looking, golden tan which I love. I even get comments on how good my tan looks (this never happens!)
The Face Mist is equally amazing too! I pop on a few spritzes as the last step in my skincare routine before bed, and I wake up with a sun-kissed face. No faff in the morning with bronzer if I don't want to!

Pixi Glow Mud Mask
I bought this as a mini a good few months ago now, and I've just bought the full-size because it's become a firm favourite in my mask collection! I love using this when my skin is feeling a little bit congested, or to tackle a break-out before it really takes hold. It only takes 10 minutes to work and leaves my skin feeling soft, spots are less angry and my pores look reduced. I also love the fact that it's easy to rinse off, some of my other mud masks are super stubborn and a pain to remove, but the texture of the Pixi offering makes it so much easier!

Glossier Bubblewrap Eye & Lip Cream
I remember buying this after reading loads of mixed reviews, so I was a bit nervous about potentially spending £20+ on an eye cream which was a bit naff. BUT I really liked using it. The texture is feather-light, which made it perfect for use morning and evening, and I definitely saw a difference in the puffiness of my under-eye bags when I used it. It also absorbs really quickly which was great for when I was in a rush!

Bare Minerals Skinlongevity Serum
You might remember seeing this serum feature in my Lockdown Beauty Favourites post. I've just used up the full-sized bottle, and I absolutely love it. I can see the difference in my skin as soon as I apply it, I instantly have a dewy glow to the skin, and it preps my face perfectly for make-up (or makes my skin look super-healthy for a no make up day!) Pair that with its anti-ageing properties, and it's pretty much my perfect product.
BUT whether or not I repurchase it remains to be seen at this point, and I'll tell you for why. I spent £38 on a bottle, which I didn't even use every single day. The bottle recommends two pumps, but I only felt like I needed a pump and a half. The bottle was gone in around a month. And while I'll always spend a little bit more on skincare if it works, but for that kind of price, I do expect a product to last a bit longer than four weeks. I might still repurchase at some point, I think it depends on how much I'll miss it over the next couple of weeks!

The Inkey List Bakuchiol Moisturiser
This moisturiser came as a recommendation from a friend, shortly after I found my very first wrinkle (it was a traumatic experience!) I know retinol products have been the 'thing' for anti-ageing for a while but I was worried about starting to use them too soon and want to ideally wait until after-30 to start incorporating them into my routine.
So I ordered Bakuchiol, which is a more natural alternative to retinol. I love it because you can use it both morning and evening, which is a huge no-no when it comes to retinol. It's a light moisturiser and doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy. But I'm happy to report that it's done the job, my pesky little frown line on my forehead has definitely looked less prominent since using this and no other little buggers have appeared on my face yet! And all of this for only a tenner, yes please!

What have been some of your favourite products recently?

I've been thinking about investing in an electronic cleansing tool for a long time after hearing several bloggers and influencers rave about them. But as I do with all slightly more expensive purchases, I dilly-dallied and pondered on it for weeks, wondering if using one would actually make that much difference to my skin.
A couple of months ago PMD Beauty got in touch asking if I would like to test their cleansing tool, and I jumped at the chance! I couldn't wait to give it a go and see if it was worth all of the hype.
So, what is the PMD Clean?
The PMD Clean is a smart cleansing device with built-in 'Sonic Glow' technology. It delivers over 7000 vibrations a minute, designed to cleanse, firm and lift for a deep clean, aiding anti-ageing and giving you radiant-looking skin.
There are four settings - two for cleansing, and two to use alongside your moisturiser to promote the anti-ageing benefits. Each vibration setting varies in intensity so you can choose depending on what you feel your skin needs.
The PMD is dual-sided, one side has small, silicone bristles which help to cleanse, and the other side has a facial massager to use with your moisturiser.
How do I use it?
I've been using the PMD Clean every day for the last few months. I tend to use the cleansing side with my second cleanse, after removing make-up. I put the cleanser directly onto the PMD Clean, apply to damp skin and rotate in circular motions to try to get into the pores.
I'll then go about toning, exfoliating and applying serum, then I'll use the PMD Clean again with my moisturiser, again rotating it in circles on my skin to aid absorption.
What did I think?
I'll level with you, I had no idea what to expect from this product. But I've loved the addition of it to my routine!
Having the silicone bristles to cleanse with has made it feel like I'm getting a much deeper cleanse than I would if I just used my fingers. And honestly, it feels soooo satisfying after a long day of wearing a full-face of make-up, my skin always feels so fresh after using it for a good minute or so.
And I LOVE the facial massager with my moisturiser. Not only does it feel super-relaxing, I'm finding I'm using less moisturiser because it's so good at aiding absorption that I don't need to overdo it on the product to feel like I'm getting the benefits.
I can definitely see a difference in my skin after I've used it too, it looks more radiant and there's a definite glow there!
So, if you started reading this wondering whether or not you should take the plunge and buy an electric cleansing device, my answer would definitely be yes. I genuinely can't think of a single negative thing to say about the PMD Clean, and I'd definitely say it's worth the £89 price tag, which is actually cheaper than other brands out there which sell a similar product!
I'd definitely see a purchase as an investment, because it's silicone it'll last you ages, it's easy to clean, waterproof and hard-wearing.
Using it has been a game-changer for me and I'll never look back now!
You can shop the PMD Clean through their website and through Look Fantastic.
