2018 Round Up

Sunday, 30 December 2018

I'll be honest, I don't even know where to start with this one.

As quickly as 2018 has come, it's gone again. And as I'm sitting on the sofa, cup of tea in hand, trying to piece together a sentence which could potentially sum the year up, I'm pretty much drawing a blank.

Truth be told, it's been a bloody tough one this year.

I've mentioned quite a few times on my blog and social media channels that my family has been through something absolutely horrendous this year. Our world was tipped upside down and in honesty, we're only just recovering. I've had moments where I've cried, and screamed, and lashed out because I've felt hurt, angry, upset and confused all at the same time.

But after all we went through, we're closer than ever. And we know if we can get through that, we can get through anything.

I don't want to focus on the negatives in this post though. Because I have achieved so much in 2018.

I've passed my driving test (third time lucky!) and bought a car. I left a job I didn't enjoy and have finally found something which I could see becoming a career. I was brave enough to sit opposite my dad for the first time in four years and got the closure I needed. My blog went from strength to strength at the beginning of the year especially, and I've been so lucky to have been able to work with some incredible brands this year. Dan and I have moved into our own place.

Yep, this year has been a challenge. But it's also beginning to feel like my life is finally starting to come together.

Here's to 2019.

Love,
Sian xo

  4. I think it's so kickass that you can find all the good aspects of 2018 even if it was a rough one for you- that's incredible! I think 2018 from what I've heard was a tough year for a lot of people, but wishing you all the best for 2019 and hopefully we all have brilliant years this year at least!
